VIÑEDOS - RAMA CAIDA
Is located in the district of San Rafael, in the Mendoza province, 17 Km from the winery. It has 11 hectares in size, three of which are planted with Tocai Friulano vines that are over 20 years old, growing on pergola (parral style). Four hectares of Merlot, planted in 1998 growing on trellis, with anti-hail netting protecting the grapevine.
Soil: Sandy, with moderate depth and very favorable for the growing of grapes.
Climate: Temperate with semiarid characteristics. Warm summers with wide variation between day and evening temperatures. High quantity of sunlight during the entire year, and with low percentage of relative atmospheric humidity, are all factors that determine optimal conditions for wine growing.
Irrigation: 12-14 irrigations per year using furrows which channels water from the Diamante river.
Altitude: 730 meters above sea level.
